Brokenwood's Winery Cru at the 2024 PKF Hunter Valley Wine Show

What an incredible Friday we had at the 2024 PKF Hunter Valley Wine Show! This year was nothing short of extraordinary, as we walked away with a stunning 13 gold medals and, to top it off, three prestigious trophies that now gleam with pride in our collection.

Let’s take a moment to introduce you to our latest accolades:

These are all wonderful results but the Wine of Provenance award is of particular significance. The Wine of Provenance Award is designed to recognise and celebrate wines of exceptional provenance, reflecting consistency of style and quality over time. An entry constitutes three different vintages of the same wine, covering a minimum spread of 10 vintages.

The Provenance Trophy was first awarded in 2012 and is named in honour of our Director and former Chief Winemaker Iain Riggs AM, so it is particularly fitting that our ILR Reserve Semillon is our first wine to wine this coveted trophy.

There's something uniquely thrilling about achieving these wins right here on our home turf, in the heart of the Hunter Valley. The region’s rich wine heritage inspires us, and we’re honored to contribute to that legacy with each bottle we produce.

As we celebrate these wins, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our team, our vineyard workers, winemakers, and everyone who plays a role in bringing our wines to life. Your passion and dedication are what make achievements like these possible.
